Ricardo is a researcher and consultant on environmental and sustainability issues, with more than 15 years of experience in project management (from the proposal to final deliverables). The focus is on environmental impacts, life cycle assessments and carbon and water footprints of companies, regions, products and programs. Ricardo was co-coordinator of the Regional Climate Change Program of the Azores, consultant for the Climate Ambition Accelerator of the UN Global Compact Network in Portugal, and was part of the Portuguese International Climate Team for the UNFCCC during the Portuguese presidency of the Council of the EU. In addition to the environmental component, Ricardo has developed work with participatory and deliberative methods, multi-criteria analyses, and stakeholder strategies.
