The focus of his work is primarily on environmental impact assessments, life cycle analyses and environmental footprints (e.g., carbon, water) of products, services, companies, regions, policies and measures. Ricardo has a degree in Environmental Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and PhD in Ecological-Environmental Economics from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
