Pedro J. S. Cardoso received a Ph.D. in the field of Mathematics/Operations Research from the University of Seville, Spain. He is a professor and researcher at the Universidade do Algarve for more than two decades and a member of the the Associate Laboratory of Robotics and Engineering Systems (LARSyS). Over the past years, he has been involved in over a dozen scientific and development projects, authored more than ninety publications, being the editor of over a dozen of books.
