The continuing growing population of big cities has been contributing to the raise of the number of problems associated with the mobility of its citizens. The use of individual means of transportation contributes in large part to the problem of traffic jams, and the ongoing raise of environmental problems. This situation that leads to a larger ridership of public transportation also translates in the further developing and interchange of the existing transportation networks. A modern information society, used to the easy and free access to information on their fingertips, also demands ways of access to the easy exploring of information related to the new transportation networks they are about to start using on a regular basis. The advent of these new multi-operator networks raise new questions in terms of transport information interchange between systems of the various operators that will take part in this new organization. This work focus on the proposal for a solution to the heterogeneous data sources information interchange in a multi-operator transportation network consortium environment. Making use of state-of-the art technologies for the interconnection of relational data-systems exposed as metadata, where a common public transportation ontology is defined as the target to which each of these relational data-systems are to be mapped, in order to offer a single point of access to the public transport information to the passenger support applications access.
