João Baltazar is a researcher of MARETEC – Marine, Environment and Technology Centre. He has relevant expertise in the topic of numerical modelling applied to marine propellers and turbines, and renewable energy systems. He has over twenty years of experience on the development of potential flow codes and RANS methods. He is invited professor at IST. In 2022, João has initiated a new collaboration with WavEC in the area of numerical modelling using different engineering codes.
