Miguel Minhalma has a PhD in Chemical Engineering and is an Adjunct Professor at the “Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa – ISEL”, Portugal. At ISEL, he is integrated in the Chemical Engineering Department, is responsible for the Environmental Laboratory and is Coordinator of the Biomedical Engineering Degree. His research expertise focus in the area of membrane technologies, with applications on the wastewater, bioengineering and biomedic fields. He is Author of 25 papers in international journals with referee (H index = 13), and most of the work envisages not only the treatment of streams but the recovery and valorization of valuable compounds. This approach was also applied in the work developed in 7 funded research projects and in several PhD and MSc Thesis supervised by him.
