Mina Tadros is a researcher at Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC) and PhD student in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) department at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon. Previously he was a teaching assistant and a research assistant in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NAME) department at Alexandria University in Egypt. In 2012, he received his M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Alexandria University, with work in the field of ship recycling. He participated in several international projects and he is the author of over 10 publications in scientific journals, book chapters and international conferences. Currently, he performs scientific research in the areas of optimization and decision in the marine propulsion system. His scientific interests cover: Simulation and optimization of different marine propulsion systems, Reduction and control of exhaust emissions from ships and designing optimum propeller.
