Graduated in physics, MSc in applied nuclear physics and PhD in Physics (biophysics). Principal Researcher at IST - Department of Engineering and Nuclear Sciences. Head of the Radiation Protection and Safety Laboratory of IST, since 2013. Member of IST - Polo de Loures management board, since January 2024. Member of EURADOS WG2 since 2001, served as Chairperson (2010-2015), Treasurer (2007-2014), Council Member (2007-2019). Member of EURAMET research projects since 2015 Member of the European Metrology Network for Radiation Protection since 2021.
