Since February 2021 Head of the Research Group Radiation, Elements and Isotopes of the Centre for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies. From February 2017 to January 2021 Vice-President of the Centre for Nuclear Sciences and Technologies, a research unit of Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon University. Since 1992 Senior Researcher of Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon University. Current research in application of Ionizing Radiation Technologies to address societal challenges in food quality and security, wastewater treatment and materials processing.
