António Nunes received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Universidade de Lisboa, in 2022 and 2024. He was awarded the Academic Merit diploma in 2020, 2021, and 2023 and the Academic Excellence diploma in 2022 and 2024. His master's thesis was recognized with the Outstanding Master Thesis title by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at IST. He is a Research Fellow at Institute for Systems and Robotics, part of the Laboratory of Robotics and Engineering Systems, Lisbon.

António Nunes received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Universidade de Lisboa, in 2022 and 2024, respectively. He majored in Space and attended the Space Engineering course at Politecnico di Milano for one semester in 2024, under the Erasmus program. He was awarded the Academic Merit diploma in 2020, 2021, and 2023 and the Academic Excellence diploma in 2022 and 2024, by IST. His master's thesis was recognized with the Outstanding Master Thesis title by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at IST. He participated in the student mentoring program in 2021 and 2022, welcoming new students to the university. He was a monitor in the course of Flight Stability during one trimester at IST and is currently a Research Fellow at Institute for Systems and Robotics, part of the Laboratory of Robotics and Engineering Systems, Lisbon, under a scholarship grant. His research interests include nonlinear control, guidance and navigation, nonlinear optimization, and orbital mechanics with applications to the control of autonomous spacecraft in complex dynamical environments.
