Dr Natércia Rodrigues obtained her MChem degree in 2014 from the University of Leicester. She completed her PhD at the University of Warwick, under the supervision of Professor Vasilios Stavros, after which she worked as a postdoc in the same group for a couple of years. Dr Rodrigues started her position as a Marie Curie Fellow working in an industrial context in 2020, working with Lipotec in Barcelona, Spain. She is currently a Junior Researcher at the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences of Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisboa, Portugal.

Dr Natércia Rodrigues obtained her MChem degree in 2014 from the University of Leicester (UK). During this time, she undertook a placement year at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratories, part of the Science and Technology Facilities Council, located in Didcot, Oxford (UK). She then completed her PhD at the University of Warwick (UK), under the supervision of Professor Vasilios Stavros. Her thesis, titled 'Ultrafast Photoprotection Mechanisms: Expediting the Molecular Design of Sunscreen Agents' and published in 2018, won the Warwick Science Faculty Thesis prize. She was also heavily involved in teaching at the University of Warwick, having been nominated and won teaching excellence awards and grants. Dr Rodrigues then worked as a postdoc at the University of Warwick before starting her position as a Marie Curie Fellow working in an industrial context in 2020, during which she worked at Lipotec, a company that is part of The Lubrizol Corporation, in Barcelona, Spain. She is currently a Junior Researcher working on the spectroscopy of endoperoxides at the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences of Instituto Superior Técnico, in Lisboa, Portugal.
