Helena is an adjunct professor in the Systems and Management group of the Chemical Engineering Department at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa. She develops her research work at OpLog Research Group of the Centre for Management Studies of Instituto Superior Técnico. Her main research interests are in supply chain management and involve developing optimization models considering uncertainty and risk assessment to assist the decision-making process. The current research projects include integrated biorefineries supply chains design and planning.
