Researcher of Plasma Engineering Laboratory (PEL) at IPFN with double PhD degree in Physics Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal and in Physics from Université d’Orléans, France. Author of 2 book chapters and 10 peer-reviewed papers in international journals and with more than 40 communications in international conferences. My research interests comprise Low-Temperature Plasma Physics, Plasma Processing, Plasma Nanoscience, Synthesis and Characterization of Carbon-based materials, Nanomaterials, Nanotechnology, Nanocomposites, Metal-graphene composites, polymer-graphene composites, etc. I am currently involved in experimental research linked to plasma-based synthesis of hybrid materials within the framework of Horizon2020 PEGASUS project (Plasma Enabled and Graphene Allowed Synthesis of Unique nanoStructures) FET-OPEN Grant Number: 766894 and EAGER project (Exploring plasma driven assembling of graphene based hybrid nanostructures) PTDC/NAN-MAT/30565/2017 financed by Portuguese FCT .
