Ivo Sousa was born in Pico Island, Azores, Portugal, in 1984. He received the M.S. and the Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, Lisbon, Portugal, in 2007 and 2014, respectively. At the present, he is a post-doctoral researcher within the Radio Systems group of Instituto de Telecomunicações within IST.
