Miguel L. Pardal is an Assistant Professor at IST (Instituto Superior Técnico, of Universidade de Lisboa) and a researcher at INESC-ID in the Distributed, Parallel and Secure Systems Group (DPSS). His current research work is in Cybersecurity applied to the digital frontiers of the Internet of Things and Cloud Computing.

Miguel L. Pardal is an Assistant Professor at IST (Instituto Superior Técnico, of Universidade de Lisboa) and a researcher at INESC-ID in the Distributed, Parallel and Secure Systems Group (DPSS). Miguel led the SureThing project (FCT) on location proofs for mobile devices and Internet of Things applications. He also completed a participation in the Safe Cloud EU Project (H2020), leading the Work Package on Secure Communication Technologies. Until recently (end of 2021), he was Guest Scientist at the Chair of Network Architectures and Services at TU Munich. During his PhD, he was a visiting student at the Auto-ID Labs at MIT. He currently has more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed scientific conferences and journals. His current research work is in Cybersecurity applied to the digital frontiers of the Internet of Things and Cloud Computing.
