Assistant Professor of Hydrodynamics in the Centre of Naval Architecture and Engineering with Technical University of Lisbon in Portugal. Previous achievements include large exposure to Industry while serving the Portuguese Navy for 21 years; teaching and research supervision at Technical University of Lisbon and Newcastle University, including analytical, numerical and experimental applied research of the hydrodynamics of different floating structures; and the development of the Wave Energy Converter (WEC) prototype “UGen”, whose patent registry has been accepted and is now under an acceleration program to commercialization stage with Building Global Innovators IUL MIT Portugal.
