I am a full professor at the Bioengineering Department of Instituto Superior Técnico. I regularly teach subjects in the areas of Bioprocess Engineering and Transport Phenomena. My research activities are carried out at the Institute for Bioengineering and Biosciences and focus on: 1. Molecular design of DNA therapeutics, 2. Bio-recognition and bio-interfacing and 3. Microbial cell factories.
