In Higher Education, she attended the University of Aveiro, where he graduated in Geological Engineering / Geophysical Prospecting, in 1989 At the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, in July 1995, he took the exams to obtain a Master's degree in Geophysical Sciences (specialization in Internal Geophysics). The exams consisted of the presentation of a dissertation on the theme "Three-dimensional Geothermal Modeling of the Chaves Aquifer". At Instituto Superior Técnico, she took the Doctoral Examinations in Mining Engineering on May 30, 2003, having been approved through the defense of the dissertation under the theme “Integrated Study of Environmental Problems by Geophysical Methods”.
