Lecturer in the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, during the last 30 years, lecturing disciplines related to the design of ships such as “Ship Design”, “Ship and Ocean Systems Design” and “Small Craft Design” of the MSc degree as well as the disciplines “Naval Architecture Drafting”, “Geometric Modelling and Drafting” and “Introduction to Marine Engineering” of the undergraduate degree. Researcher of the CENTEC having participated in 14 international and 2 national research projects. Participation as expert in European and international comissions, in the areas of ship design and marine transport, namely in the ISSC (International Ship Structures Committee) and also in the “Concerted Action on Shortsea Shipping” of the European Commission.
