The Department of Mechanical Engineering has a long experience in education, research and development activities, providing high-quality teaching and experts valued by society. The department's strengths include its tradition of experimental and numerical research, societal interaction and competences in engineering. The department is highly specialized, with about 90 PhD members covering a wide spectrum of scientific areas. The quality of their laboratories and research facilities promote de Department of Mechanical Engineering as a center of excellence enabling its students, undergraduate and graduate, to obtain a high level of education.
