Abstract
To address the flexible vibration and residual vibration problems of large flexible spacecraft during attitude maneuvers, a three-dimensional rigid-flexible coupled spacecraft equipped with piezoelectric actuators is investigated in this study. Based on the generalized coordinate method and modal discretization theory, a rigid-flexible coupled dynamic model and corresponding state-space representation are established. The transformation from piezoelectric driving voltage to equivalent generalized force of flexible modes is also realized. And then, the influence of different open-loop maneuver strategies on flexible vibration excitation characteristics is investigated. To further improve vibration suppression performance and disturbance rejection capability, an Active Disturbance Rejection (ADR)-based control strategy is developed for the flexible spacecraft system. Compared with conventional Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) and Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR) control methods, the proposed Active Disturbance Rejection (ADR) approach demonstrates stronger robustness against nonlinear disturbances, parameter uncertainties, and unmodeled dynamics. Meanwhile, an Radial Basis Function (RBF) neural network is introduced to enhance the online estimation and compensation capability for external disturbances and dynamic uncertainties. Through comparative analyses of open-loop and closed-loop simulations, the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control strategy are verified. The simulation results demonstrate that the ADR-based method can more effectively reduce vibration amplitude and residual vibration of the solar arrays while improving system dynamic stability, control accuracy, and disturbance rejection performance compared with traditional control approaches.
