Mecanismo de Vierendeel em vigas de aço com abertura na alma. Análise experimental e numérica

The present work has the objective of the analysis of steel beams with an opening in the soul when subjected to failure by Vierendeel mechanism. In order to perform an analysis of the influence of factors such as longitudinal reinforcement, numerical models were executed in ABAQUS program 6.13, using solid elements with 8 nodes. These models were used in order to design the steel and composite beams in order to test them. Two steel beams were tested, with a span of 4m, with a square opening in the core, one of the beams being reinforced longitudinally in the opening zone. All processes of the preparation and performance of the tests are also described in this work. Finally, the experimental results are presented, analyzed and compared with the numerical models.
