Vânia Proença holds a PhD in Ecology and is an Assistant Researcher at MARETEC/LARSyS, Instituto Superior Técnico. Her research activity focus on biodiversity patterns and processes, and the use of biodiversity data, indicators and models to assess biodiversity change and its effects on ecosystem functions and services, from local to global scales. She has more than 40 publications, participated in more than 15 projects and contributed to international expert groups.
