He is currently a researcher at the Centro de Investigação da Academia da Força Aérea, and a collaborative researcher at both the Centro de Ciências e Tecnologias Nucleares (C2TN) and the Instituto de Plasmas e Fusão Nuclear (IPFN). His research interests focus on nuclear radiation detection systems applied to Security and Defence.
