Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow with a PhD (cum laude) in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, specializing in the mechanics, durability, and damage tolerance of adhesively bonded composite structures. My research addresses secondary composite bonded joints, focusing on toughening mechanisms, damage evolution, and the prevention of catastrophic failure. I combine advanced experimental mechanics with structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques to improve understanding, reliability, and design of bonded joints for safety-critical applications. I am currently exploring multifunctional bonded joints, integrating sensing and toughening capabilities to enable damage-aware structural solutions. My expertise spans adhesive and composite mechanics, fracture and fatigue, SHM, and multifunctional structures. I am interested in research-intensive academic environments and competitive funding frameworks aimed at advancing high-performance and reliable bonded systems.
