In the last five years, I developed activities as part of my Ph.D. in Design, which allowed me to enhance my skills as a researcher. Between 2016 and 2017, as an Intern at the ErgoVR-FMH-UL Lab, within the framework of the Nexperience project (in partnership with Nespresso Portugal), I started using virtual reality equipment and realizing the advantages of its applicability and content creation. During my Ph.D., I developed scientific studies that allowed me to expand my knowledge in the human-computer interaction field, through the use of a Human-Centered Design approach, and using evaluation methods like Self-Assessment Manikin, Geneva, Think-aloud, Simulation sickness in VR, Presence in VR, and Face-Reading, in order to understand and propose design solutions. In 2019, I participated in the European Researchers Night 2019 in Lisbon, with a Virtual Reality gaming experience under development during my Ph.D. During the Ph.D. course, the establishment of a partnership with the Directorate-General for Culture of São Tomé and príncipe (STP), as well as the inclusion of the community from STP in the research project, consolidated my ability to connect and be responsible for creating value for all stakeholders involved. In order to obtain funding that would allow me to develop a most ambitious research plan, I applied for the FCT Doctoral Scholarships in 2017, having been granted the scholarship with reference SFRH/BD/129105/2017, for the period between 2017 and 2021. In 2019, at the invitation of the Lisbon School of Architecture of the University of Lisbon as an FCT scholarship (Ph.D.), I gave "Branding Product and Services" class in the first semester of the Master in Product Design Course. In March 2023, I started my postdoctoral research activities at ITI/LARSyS, with a post-doc scholarship with reference 1801P.01233.1.01.
