Hossam obtained his bachelor and MSc degrees in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt. He worked as a teaching assistant at the faculty of engineering at Alexandria University. Currently, Hossam is a research assistant at CENTEC as part of the group of marine dynamics and hydrodynamics and PhD student at IST, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is funded for a PhD grant by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
