My experience includes areas such as photovoltaics, wind energy, battery storage systems, microgrids, power generation and energy efficiency in buildings, BIPV, as well as planning, economic evaluation, result analysis of energy systems and solutions. This experience was harnessed by collaborating and managing R&D projects for over 17 years. In these projects I have monitored PV systems performance with data acquisition systems and compared the results with models developed in Matlab/Simulink, tested PV systems using thermographic cameras and Power Quality Analysers, tested PV modules with I-V tracers and according to several standards and also tested several prototypes, such as PV tiles. As freelance PV consultant, I designed PV systems with PVsyst, reviewed documents for European projects, prepared detailed project reports (DPRs) for photovoltaic power plants, taught PVsyst training courses to several companies, developed renewable energy courses to be taught by others, made due diligence studies of operating PV plants to evaluate their performance and advise improvements. I have also analyzed and amended clauses of power purchase agreements (PPA’s) for multiple grid operators.
