Arash Abbasnia graduated in Ocean engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran and holds a PhD degree in numerical hydrodynamic modelling for marine structures. In 2014 he was granted a Postdoctoral scholarship at the Centre for Marine Technology and Ocean Engineering (CENTEC), Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) and he had involved in some projects on computational ship hydrodynamics.
