Licenciou-se em Engenharia dos Materiais em 2001 e em 2009 doutorou-se em Engenharia dos Materiais, ramo Materiais Poliméricos na FCT/UNL. Desde 2017 é Professora Associada, coordenadora da licenciatura em Engenharia de Materiais, membro do Conselho Pedagógico e membro do Conselho Cientifico na Atlântica - Instituto Universitário. Na referida Instituição leciona várias Unidades Curriculares relacionadas com Materiais. É membro integrado do CERENA do IST-UL e desde 2019 membro da direcção do Colégio de Engenharia de Materiais da Região Sul da OE.
