Elsa Branco Lopes is involved in the study of materials with interesting transport properties and their correlation to structural data and magnetic properties. The transport properties studied are the electrical resistivity, thermoelectric power, thermal conductivity and magnetoresistance. The type of solids studied include low dimensional organic conductors, new high ZT thermoelectric materials and d and f intermetallic compounds with unconventional transport properties.
