Filipe da Silva received a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, branch of Computers and Telecommunications from IST, Lisbon, Portugal, in 1991. Received the M.S. degree in Management of Science and Technology from the Superior Institute of Economy and Management (Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão), Lisbon. In 2007 received a Ph.D. degree in Physics from IST. In IPFN, he works in the field of numerical simulation of microwave reflectometry, in the development and implementation of simulation codes.
