I study matter under the uttermost conditions of temperature and density using heavy ion collision data recorded with the CMS experiment at CERN’s LHC. Having stud- ied and worked under guidance of experts from Graz University, Instituto Superior T´ecnico, and Massachusetts Institute of Techonology I developed a strong foundation in Quantum-Chromodynamics, being thus able to easily bridge together theoretical models and experimental data. Following my particular interest in QCD exotics I am currently working on the first observation of X(3872) in Pb-Pb collisions, to clarify what its internal structure is while at the same time probing in-medium mechanisms influencing quark hadronization.
