Biography

I'm a trained geophysicist (5-year degree) with a PhD in Earth Resources and a MSc in Environmental Engineering. From 2004 to 2011 I worked as a freelance geophysicist and consultant in projects of near surface geophysics, especially groundwater prospecting. Also in this period I developed groundwater modeling skills through my MSc studies. From 2011 to 2017 I developed my phd project in earth resources, particularly shallow aquifer characterization using geophysical techniques, at Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal. From 2017 to 2018 I worked as a research fellow in soil science in Arimnet project SALTFREE. My research centers on applications of near surface geophysical techniques in environmental hydrology. I'm especially interested in groundwater-dependent ecosystem and system functioning, groundwater flow modelling and recharge estimation techniques.
