Rui Henriques received his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering by Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Universidade de Lisboa. His research studies are centered on advancing the machine learning field with the aim of answering real-world problems across biomedical and social domains. He had received several distinctions for his scientific achievements, including Best Senior Researcher by INESC-ID in 2022, and a National Award for his merits by Caixa Geral de Depósitos in 2009. He has also been a business analyst at McKinsey with wide exposure to real-life projects.
