Gabriel A. Monteiro is Associate Professor at the Instituto Superior Técnico. He has (co-)authored 104 articles in peer-reviewed international journals (>4600 citations h-index=35 on Google Scholar). In addition, he has authored 40 articles in non-ISI journals (book chapters, proceedings). He has also supervised (completed) 15 PhD and 37 MSc theses. Currently, his main research interests are in the design and production of plasmid and minicircle biopharmaceuticals for use as DNA vaccines and gene therapy vectors for transient cell modification.
