I completed my PhD in Mathematics in 2004 under the supervision of Professor Ana M. Pires (Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal). My research interests are in the area of robust statistics, applied statistics and statistical learning theory. Current topics of research are the statistical problems for high-dimensional data, strategies for treating missing data and identifying outliers in time series.
