Associate Professor at IST – University of Lisbon, Master in Geochemistry and PhD in Mining Engineering. Member of CERENA, where he participates in several research projects, including heritage conservation, phytoremediation, natural resources beneficiation, recycling, construction materials, natural hazards and biomedical, etc. He is co-responsible for the Laboratory of Mineralogy and Petrology of IST. Member of the IST Environment and Nanomaterials platforms and Author/co-author of more than 100 publications in international/national journals.
