António Pacheco is a Data Scientist, Full Professor in Probability & Statistics, and Coordinator of the PhD in Statistics & Stochastic Processes. He holds a BSc in Probability & Statistics (1987) from ULisboa, an MSc in Applied Mathematics (1991) from Technical Univ. Lisboa, and a PhD in Operations Research (1994) from Cornell U (Ithaca, NY, USA). He is a past Editor in Chief of QTQM (Quality Technology and Quantitative Management) and president of both the Mathematics Department of IST and of CEMAT (Center for Computational and Stochastic Mathematics).
