Luis F. Veiros was born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1963. He received a degree in Chemical Engineering in 1986, a M.Sc. in Catalysis in 1989 and a Ph.D. in 1994, all from Instituto Superior Técnico which is the engineering school of the Lisbon University. He started teaching in that same school in 1985 as an undergraduated demostrater and is, at present, Associate Professor. His main scientific interests are the study of structure and reactivity of organic and organometallic systems, using Computational Chemistry methods (mostly DFT).
