Maria Paula Queluz received the B.S. and the M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 1985 and 1989 respectively, and the PhD degree from the Catholic University of Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, in 1996. Since 1985, she has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, IST, where she is currently an Assistant Professor. She is also a research member at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, Lisbon, Portugal.
