- Bioelectrochemistry: Electrochemistry of redox proteins and enzymes. Kinetics and energetics of e-transfer and coupled interactions with redox partners and substrates in metalloproteins. Study of intra and intermolecular electron transfer (recognition). Study of of substrate/enzyme interactions (catalysis)
- Development and application of electroanalytical methodologies namely with microelectrodes, new modified electrodes (nanostructured materials) and voltammetric detection in flow injections systems, and for metal ion speciation in natural media
